Oxford Charter Township recently issued the following announcement.
New Year, New Business!
Welcome, Norah’s Bridal! The elegant addition to downtown Oxford’s northeast quadrant will open its doors at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 2.
An aunt and her niece, Karen Weaver and Maegan Perrin, teamed up to bring this exquisite shop to life at 6 N. Washington St.
“We’ve always wanted to do this,” Karen said.
Named for Maegan's 2-year-old daughter, the boutique offers the finest in bridal gowns and accessories. Norah's Bridal is filled with dresses made by a variety of well-known designers, including Pronovias, Madi Lane, Evie Young, Watters, Allison Webb, THEIA and Eddy K. The shop offers accessories from Twigs & Honey, Luna + Stone and Hushed Commotion.
“We have three dressing rooms, so we can accommodate three brides at a time,” Karen said.
Norah’s Bridal promises to offer brides and their guests a relaxed atmosphere.
“Our goal is to create a shopping experience that’s personal, unique and fun,” Karen said. “Our store is going to be a stress-free zone. No pressure. No worries. We want everyone to feel comfortable.”
In addition to walk-ins and standard appointments, Norah’s Bridal is pleased to offer “VIP Appointments.” During these special 90-minute sessions, the store is closed to everyone, except the bride and her guests. They’re free to explore and shop as they sip champagne and create lasting memories.
Karen believes downtown Oxford is “the perfect location” for Norah’s Bridal.
“You’re close to communities like Rochester and Clarkston. You’re between I-75 and I-69,” she said. “It’s a great spot.”
Norah’s Bridal is scheduled to hold a grand opening event at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8.
