CONGRATULATIONS Avondale High School senior football player, D'Angelo Harris! D'Angelo has been selected to participate in the 40th Annual MHSFCA East-West All Star Game at Lawrence Tech University on June 25th! D'Angelo will be a member of the East Team, and will represent the Avondale Football Program in this game!
This game is a long-standing tradition in Michigan. Many of the greatest football players in the state's history have played in this game, including numerous former and current NFL players. D'Angelo is also the first student-athlete from Avondale selected to participate in this event since 2017!
This past season, D'Angelo was one of five captains within our varsity program. He was a utility player for us, playing 9 different positions, on both sides of the ball. He finished the season with 774 all-purpose yards and 2 touchdowns, including a crucial, game-sealing touchdown against Royal Oak. He also had 20 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 interception on defense this season.
Following graduation, D'Angelo plans to attend a local college or university and continue his football career. He has been accepted to Wayne State, Grand Valley, and Davenport University.
