Dr. Daniel Haas named new principal at Lake Orion High School

As Lake Orion Community Schools looks forward to the 2022-23 school year, the administrative positions in the district will continue to keep LOCS among the state’s elite. Dr. Daniel Haas will be taking over as the new principal at Lake Orion High School this fall.

With 26 years in education, including the past 16 as Scripps' principal, Dr. Haas is deeply ingrained in LOCS and the growth of students through the teenage years. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and multiple advanced degrees from Oakland University, including the doctorate, which he completed in 2020. He also is familiar with LOHS, having served as the interim principal for a period in 2020.

Dr. Haas succeeds Steve Hawley, who left the position due to medical issues. OCS looks forward to Dr. Haas assuming the leadership of one of the state's largest high schools.
