Census Bureau: 79.1% of people in Oakland County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 1,271,983 citizens living in Oakland County in 2021, 79.1% were old enough to vote, equating to 1,005,730 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 491,215 were male, constituting 48.8%, and 514,515 were female, making up 51.2%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Oakland County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 78.2%.
