Chairwoman Lisa McClain, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, addressed several topics in recent social media posts, including economic policy, national defense, and public safety.

On September 17, 2025, McClain commented on monetary policy and its impact on Americans: "High interest rates have put a chokehold on economic growth, making borrowing more expensive for hardworking Americans and small businesses. This overdue cut will make homeownership more affordable for working families, especially first-time buyers, and make other big purchases".

The following day, September 18, 2025, she recognized the anniversary of the United States Air Force: "Happy 78th Birthday to the fastest fighting force in the sky, the @usairforce! Thank you for keeping our skies clear and our nation safe. https://t.co/MpkLxIoTD4".

Later that same day, McClain expressed concern over an incident involving law enforcement officers: "Our law enforcement officers put their lives on the line for us every day. I’m saddened to learn about this horrific attack, and am praying for the victims, their families, and for the safety of all our men and women in blue. https://t.co/7BmlzBPt2P".

Lisa McClain was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. She earned her BBA from Northwood University in 1997. She succeeded Paul Mitchell as representative of Michigan’s 9th district.
