Later that day at 17:01 UTC, McClain addressed recent legislative developments concerning government funding. She wrote: "Let me put this as plainly as I can: @HouseGOP voted to keep the government open with a clean bill. No gimmicks. No partisan demands. Lisa McClain has served in Congress since 2021 after succeeding Paul Mitchell and is currently serving her constituents from Michigan’s 9th district. Born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and now residing in Bruce, she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University in 1997.
