House Republicans’ legislative efforts and calls for bipartisan cooperation were highlighted in a series of posts by Chairwoman Lisa McClain, U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021. On October 2, 2025, McClain used her social media platform to detail recent House actions and criticize Democratic opposition.
In a post on October 2, McClain stated: "House Republicans passed:
ALL 12 appropriations bills out of committee
3 appropriations bills through the full House
A clean CR to keep the government open
It’s Democrats standing in the way of our work for the American people."
Later that day, she shared information about party leadership activities, posting: "Republican Leadership Press Conference" on October 2, 2025.
Continuing her commentary on congressional proceedings, McClain wrote: "Enough is enough.
It’s time for the Democrats to stop hijacking our government and playing political games.
Pass the clean CR and let’s get back to work for the American people." This post was also made on October 2, 2025.
Lisa McClain has represented Michigan's 9th District in Congress since replacing Paul Mitchell in 2021. She was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. McClain earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University in 1997.
