Chairwoman Lisa McClain, U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, shared a series of posts on her official social media account highlighting local sports achievements, political developments, and state pride in manufacturing.
On October 2, 2025, McClain congratulated the Detroit Tigers on their postseason victory, stating, "Congratulations to the Detroit @Tigers on winning the Wild Card Series! Michigan is behind you—onto the next round!"
The following day, she addressed ongoing debates over government funding in Washington. On October 3, 2025, she wrote: "When Republicans vote to keep the government open and Democrats vote to shut it down…it’s very clear who’s to blame."
Also on October 3, McClain marked National Manufacturing Day with a message about Michigan's industrial heritage: "Happy National Manufacturing Day! Here in Michigan, manufacturing isn’t just part of our economy—it’s part of who we are."
McClain has represented Michigan's 9th District in Congress since succeeding Paul Mitchell in 2021. Born in Stockbridge in 1966 and currently residing in Bruce, she graduated from Northwood University with a BBA in 1997.
