Chairwoman Lisa McClain, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, posted a series of tweets on October 8, 2025, criticizing Michigan’s Democratic senators and highlighting Republican unity in the state.
In her first tweet, McClain stated, "Michigan’s House Republicans are united. Together, we’re DEMANDING that Senators Gary Peters and Elissa Slotkin stop holding critical services and Michigan families hostage to push their own, partisan agenda. Lisa McClain has represented Michigan’s 9th District since replacing Paul Mitchell in 2021. She was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. McClain graduated from Northwood University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1997.
