Matt Maddock, a Republican member of the Michigan House of Representatives, posted several statements on his X (formerly Twitter) account on October 11, 2025. The posts included criticism of the judiciary and comments about political opponents.

In a post at 14:35 UTC, Maddock wrote, "Communist judges are screwing up our fugitive laws all over the nation. It’s been going on for years and I pray Trump fixes it."

Later that day at 17:09 UTC, he added another comment: "When their lips are moving".

At 23:47 UTC, Maddock posted a third message: "Yes. Officially not official."

Maddock has previously been known for his outspoken views on social media platforms. As a state legislator in Michigan, he has aligned himself with conservative causes and figures within the Republican Party.

The reference to "fugitive laws" in Maddock's first post comes amid ongoing national debates about state cooperation with federal law enforcement and the role of courts in adjudicating such matters. His mention of former President Donald Trump reflects continued support among some lawmakers for Trump's approach to judicial appointments and law enforcement policy.
