U.S. Representative Lisa McClain, who represents Michigan’s 9th district, shared a series of posts on October 14, 2025, addressing topics ranging from health care policy to national recognition for conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
In her first post, McClain announced a press event: "House Republican Press Conference" (October 14, 2025).
Later that day, McClain commented on the recognition of Charlie Kirk by former President Donald Trump, stating: "Charlie Kirk’s impact on our nation will be felt for generations. His bold defense of faith, freedom, and the next generation changed the conservative movement forever. It’s only right that President Trump is awarding him the Presidential Medal of Freedom on what should have" (October 14, 2025).
McClain also criticized Democratic health care proposals, writing: "Democrats claim to want to save health care, yet their plan rolls back $50 billion in rural health care funding. That’s not protecting Americans — that’s political hypocrisy at its worst." (October 14, 2025).
Lisa McClain has served in Congress since 2021 after succeeding Paul Mitchell. She was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. McClain earned her BBA from Northwood University in 1997.
