Chairwoman Lisa McClain, U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, has recently posted a series of statements on her official X (formerly Twitter) account regarding economic investments, legislative activity, and negotiations in Congress.
On October 14, 2025, McClain expressed support for recent economic developments in her state, stating, "This investment is a HUGE win for Michigan autoworkers and our economy! Our America First policies continue to drive job creation and innovation right here at home."
The following day, on October 15, 2025, she announced an official event with the message, "House Republican Press Conference".
Later that same day, McClain commented on ongoing government funding negotiations, posting, "Chuck Schumer wants a secret backroom deal. Republicans are NOT going to let that happen. We passed our clean bill to fund the government almost A MONTH ago. Listen to what he wants in this DIRTY DEAL "
McClain, who was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce, has emphasized her commitment to supporting local workers and advocating for transparent legislative processes. She succeeded Paul Mitchell in Congress and holds a BBA from Northwood University.
