City of Pontiac issued the following announcement on March 23.
It is with deepest sympathy that I extend condolences to the family and friends of Councilman George Williams. His dedication to the City of Pontiac and his fellow citizens will be forever appreciated and missed. Let us as a united Pontiac community extend our prayers and sympathies to the family. At this time, I understand that the family will plan a Memorial Service to be announced at a later date.
