City of Pontiac issued the following announcement on April 30.
Giddings Road:
Bricco Contracting who is working for Oakland County Water Resources Commission installing new water main along Walton Boulevard The contractor will be closing Giddings Rd at north side of Walton on Friday afternoon.
This closure is anticipated up to three weeks in length.
This closure is necessary to connect a new water main to existing in Giddings Road just north of Walton.
Featherstone Road:
Concrete Repairs from Dr. MLKing Blvd. to Opdyke
Eastbound Lanes—Week of April 24, 2020 –Miscellaneous preparations, MISSDIG marking utilities
Week of May 4, 2020 – Lane closures, Marking areas for replacement and removing and replacing poor concrete areas, this work is anticipated to take 25 work days
JUNE 1, traffic will be placed on eastbound lanes, while the above tasks are performed on the Westbound lanes.
It is anticipated that all pavement repairs on Featherstone will be completed by June 30, 2020
There may be some minor delays as some intersections on the North side of the street may be closed for a short time.
Inclement weather may affect our progress and hence the schedule may be altered.
