Lake Orion Community Schools issued the following announcement on Apr 13.
Blanche Sims Elementary held an official groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 for the new Sims Elementary, scheduled to open in the fall of 2023.
LOCS Board of Education president Jim Weidman, LOCS Superintendent Ben Kirby and Sims principal Ken Nuss each addressed a different part of the exciting progress.
Having the students on hand reminds of the focus of LOCS each day, working for their benefit.
Bond partners GMB AE and Frank Rewold and Sons have remained instrumental in their partnership and guidance on the project.
