Chairwoman Lisa McClain, U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, posted a series of statements on social media criticizing Michigan Democrats and commenting on recent political developments.

On November 6, 2025, McClain addressed potential travel disruptions at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW), writing: "Passengers at @DTWeetin are going to have flights delayed and canceled because Michigan Democrats are refusing to fund the government. Let me repeat myself: because of Democrats, your holiday travel could be delayed and your holidays ruined."

Later that evening, she commented on healthcare policy and government funding debates: "The Democrats want to give FREE health care to illegal aliens and make you suffer a government shutdown. Well, unlike the Democrats, my parents taught me a very simple lesson: nothing in life is 'free.' The Democrats 'plan' will be paid for by hardworking American taxpayers."

On November 7, 2025, McClain praised former President Donald Trump’s diplomatic efforts in the Middle East: "Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, ANOTHER country is joining the Abraham Accords. THE PEACE PRESIDENT "

Lisa McClain was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. She earned her BBA from Northwood University in 1997. Before her election to Congress in 2021—succeeding Paul Mitchell—she established herself as an active participant in state politics.

The Abraham Accords refer to normalization agreements between Israel and several Arab nations brokered during Donald Trump's presidency.
