County of Oakland issued the following announcement.
Oakland County Executive David Coulter and his team of deputy executives were sworn-in Thursday afternoon at Oakland County Circuit Court to complete the remainder of the
current term of office which runs through December 31. Chief Circuit Court Judge Shalina Kumar administered the oaths of office to Coulter, Chief Deputy County Executive Hilarie
Chambers, and Deputy County Executives Sean Carlson, April Lynch, and Rudy Hobbs.
The Oakland County Board of Commissioners appointed Coulter county executive on August 16, 2019 following the death of County Executive L. Brooks Patterson who was in his
seventh term. Coulter and his administration have provided leadership and stability not only during the transition but also throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, one of Oakland
County’s most challenging times.
On Tuesday, November 3, Coulter was elected twice: Once to serve the remainder of the current term and the other to begin his first four-year term as county executive on January
1, 2021. He will be sworn in to his first full term before December 31.
