The Rochester Hills Fire Department has put decals on its EMS vehicles to raise awareness for Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.
One such decal includes the 9-8-8 number, which is now available nationwide as the new number to contact for mental health, substance use and suicide crises — a simple, easy-to-remember way for people to get help. This new number will allow people to quickly connect with support during a crisis, 24/7, no matter where they live.
If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, help is available. Call or text 988 or chat 988lifeline.org to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
