Dog licenses for 2023 are now available

Dog licenses for 2023 are now available at the township treasurer's counter. Prices for one-year licenses purchased on or before June 1 are as follows:
• $15 for dogs that have been spayed or neutered.

• $25 for dogs that have NOT been spayed or neutered.

• $14 for spayed/neutered dogs owned by senior citizens (age 65 and older).

• $23 for dogs that have NOT been spayed or neutered and are owned by senior citizens (age 65 and older).

Three-year licenses are also available for dogs whose rabies vaccination is effective for three years from the date of license purchase. Prices for three-year licenses are as follows:

• $40 for dogs that have been spayed or neutered.

• $70 for dogs that have NOT been spayed or neutered.

• $37 for spayed/neutered dogs owned by senior citizens (age 65 and older).

According to state law (Michigan Act 339 of 1919), all dogs must be licensed at four months of age or older. Each dog must be vaccinated with an approved rabies vaccine administered by a certified veterinarian. To receive the senior citizen discount, residents must show proof of age.

Located at 300 Dunlap Rd., the Oxford Township Hall is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
