Representative Lisa McClain, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan's 9th district since 2021, recently shared a series of tweets highlighting legislative developments and policy changes. McClain succeeded Paul Mitchell in her congressional role and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University.

On January 22, 2025, McClain announced the passage of the Laken Riley Act with a tweet stating: "PASSED The Laken Riley Act heads to @POTUS’ desk in his first week. @HouseGOP is making America safer."

The following day, on January 23, she tweeted about significant structural changes within federal government offices: "It’s official. At 5 p.m., DEI offices across the federal government were shut down. We are returning our government to a system based on merit. You should get a position because of your qualifications, not because of the left’s woke ideology."

Later that same day, she quoted Representative Mike Collins regarding an unspecified act with potential life-saving implications: "‘If this act had been the law of the land, he never would have had the opportunity to kill her,’ said @RepMikeCollins."
