Chairwoman Lisa McClain, U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, shared a series of posts on her social media account addressing legislative efforts, commemorating a conservative leader, and commenting on border security.
On July 19, 2025, McClain expressed support for legislation aimed at bolstering the domestic auto sector and aiding working families. She wrote: "The One Big Beautiful Bill supports the AMERICAN auto industry and helps working-class families."
Later that evening, McClain paid tribute to Ed Feulner, founder of The Heritage Foundation. In her post she stated: "We lost a conservative giant in Ed Feulner — founder of @Heritage. His legacy of principle, service, and vision helped shape the movement we know today. May he rest in peace."
On July 20, 2025, McClain addressed concerns about immigration enforcement and public safety by referencing an incident involving a Customs and Border Protection officer. She posted: " Democrats let criminal illegal aliens RIGHT IN our country. We see the consequences every day. I’m praying for this CBP officer to recover fully and quickly."
McClain has served as a member of Congress since replacing Paul Mitchell in 2021 and is currently chairing committee responsibilities. Born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and now residing in Bruce at age 57, she earned her BBA from Northwood University in 1997.
