Chairwoman Lisa McClain, a U.S. Congress member representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, recently used her social media platform to highlight legislative achievements and mark political milestones.

On August 1, 2025, McClain posted about recent tax legislation: "REMINDER: The One Big Beautiful Bill delivers the LARGEST TAX CUT for working families in American history. The @HouseGOP is looking out for YOU. Meanwhile, every Democrat voted to raise your taxes and make your life more unaffordable."

The following day, she acknowledged Vice President JD Vance's birthday with a message of support: "Happy Birthday to our @VP, JD Vance! I’m proud to stand with you in the fight to save America. " This public endorsement comes as both leaders continue their roles in the current administration.

Later on August 2, McClain commented on "Made in America Week," referencing incentives for domestic manufacturing: "Last week, @POTUS honored 'Made in America Week.' Thanks to the 100% expensing on new factories, equipment, machinery, and R&D in the One Big Beautiful Bill, you’re going to see a lot more 'Made in America' on the products you buy."

Lisa McClain was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University in 1997. She succeeded Paul Mitchell as representative of Michigan’s 9th district at the start of her term.
