U.S. Representative Lisa McClain, who serves Michigan’s 9th district, addressed concerns over wildfire management in Canada and announced the start of her “One Big Beautiful Tour” in a series of posts on August 5 and 6, 2025.

On August 5, McClain criticized Canadian wildfire policies and their impact on Michigan residents. In her post, she stated: " Hey @Canada, this yearly tradition of wildfire mismanagement is getting old and DANGEROUS. Michiganders shouldn’t be paying the price for your failures."

Later that day, McClain highlighted her upcoming tour to promote aviation safety investments: "Tomorrow, I kick off my One Big Beautiful Tour. From LAX to DTW to right here at EWR, the future of aviation safety is big and beautiful. The One Big Beautiful Bill delivers $12.5 billion to update America’s air traffic control system. "

In a subsequent post on August 6, she shared details about media appearances supporting the initiative: "My One Big Beautiful Tour starts tomorrow! I joined @NewsNation’s @LelandVittert to discuss how my colleagues and I are hitting the road to hear from hardworking Americans about the positive impacts of the One Big Beautiful Bill."

Lisa McClain has represented Michigan's 9th District since replacing Paul Mitchell in 2021. Born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently residing in Bruce, she earned a BBA from Northwood University in 1997.
