Matt Maddock, a Republican member of the Michigan House of Representatives, posted a series of tweets on August 10, 2025, criticizing redistricting committees and media organizations in the United States.

In his first tweet at 18:32 UTC, Maddock stated: "Newly formed Redistricting Committees in every state are run by communists and are a threat to National Security."

Later that evening at 21:54 UTC, he commented on media developments: "This is great news! Hostile to the American Life fake news is taking its last breath. This will be a domino effect that will soon wipe out many communist press sources."

Shortly after, at 21:59 UTC, Maddock posted another message referencing U.S.-China relations: "USA Communists will ALWAYS protect their Chyna comrades."
