Lake Orion Police Department issued the following announcement on Feb 1.
Village residents, please be aware that with the impending winter storm, we must address the safety of all residents in the village.
Ordinance § 92.13 SNOW AND ICE ON SIDEWALKS states that all sidewalks must be kept free of snow and ice.
The time given for this is 24hrs following the end of a snow event. Of course we recommend that you not wait until 10 inches have fallen on the ground, but rather to tackle this every inch or two, so as to not over exert yourself. Please stay warm and excise caution when out in this weather.
