Do you know a high school student age 14-18 years old who is interested in a career in law enforcement or a law enforcement related field? We are announcing the return of the AHPD Youth Academy this summer.
The Youth Academy will run Monday June 20th-Friday June 24th from 8:00am-4:00pm at our station. The students will experience many aspects of law enforcement including police equipment, tactics, investigations, criminal law and procedure, basic first aid, firearms safety and they will end the week with scenarios where they will handle mock calls for service as a Youth Police Officer.
The Youth Academy is free and is sponsored by TI Fluid Systems in Auburn Hills. Students will be provided with a uniform, supplies and a lunch each day.
