Welcome aboard, Commissioner Ballard!
Earlier tonight, the Oxford Township Board of Trustees voted 6-0 to appoint Oxford Village resident Justin Ballard to the township planning commission.
“My goal is to do what’s best for Oxford and make our community better,” he said.
Justin is already quite familiar with how planning commissions work. He’s served on the village’s planning commission for about 4 years and currently chairs the body.
“I love being part of the community,” he said. “I want to be an active participant, not just a spectator. I want to have a say in the decisions that affect my community. I want to help guide things.”
Justin believes his experience as both a business owner and a property owner will be an asset to the township planning commission.
“I own a group of companies,” he said. “I can put on the ‘business hat’ and know what it feels like to be a business owner. I understand what businesses need and how they operate.”
Justin lives on Pontiac St. with his wife of 16 years, Lori, and their three children: Alex, Ryan and Colin. Lori is a 1994 graduate of Oxford High School and the daughter of John and Donna Bossardet.
In 2020, the Ballard home won a beautification award from Oxford Village.
