On November 27, 2024, Representative McClain expressed strong criticism towards President Biden and Vice President Harris regarding their handling of border security. She stated, "Lives unlived, stories untold. Biden & Harris are complicit in the murders of these innocent Americans at the hands of violent illegal aliens." She further promised that efforts would be made to resolve what she termed as "their border crisis" from day one.
Later on the same day, McClain addressed concerns about violence against political figures. She noted that "President Trump was nearly assassinated for wanting to save America; now, his cabinet nominees face similar threats." She emphasized that such acts of violence should not be tolerated and called for prosecution of those responsible.
On November 28, 2024, Representative McClain conveyed her Thanksgiving wishes to her constituents in Michigan's 9th district. In her tweet, she said "Happy Thanksgiving, MI-09! I hope everyone has a wonderful day surrounded by friends, family, and Lions football!"
