Representative Lisa McClain, serving Michigan's 9th district in the U.S. Congress since 2021, has recently shared her views on various issues through a series of tweets. McClain, who succeeded Paul Mitchell, expressed her gratitude towards ICE and commented on national and international incidents.
On January 29, 2025, Representative McClain addressed the issue of illegal immigration. She stated, "Violent, criminal, illegal aliens do not belong in our communities. Thank you ICE for making our communities safe again. Americans wanted change and they are starting to see it."
In another tweet dated January 30, 2025, she responded to a tragic event in Washington D.C., saying "The crash in Washington, D.C. is heartbreaking. I am praying for all involved and am thankful first responders were so quick to the scene. I’ve reached out to my Kansas colleagues to offer assistance. All of America is thinking of those onboard and their loved ones."
On the same day, McClain addressed an international issue involving hostages held by Hamas. She tweeted: "For over 480 days, Hamas has held innocent hostages captive. I am thankful a third round has begun, but I will not rest until every hostage is returned safely."
