Representative Lisa McClain, currently serving Michigan’s 9th district in the U.S. Congress, expressed her views on various topics through a series of tweets on February 10, 2025. Known for her support of former President Donald Trump and conservative policies, McClain shared her opinions on American culture, government efficiency, and environmental activism.

In a tweet posted at 00:04:59 UTC, Representative McClain linked American identity to both football and former President Trump. She remarked, "Nothing is more American than football and President Trump," while expressing indifference towards the outcome of a game by stating, "Anyways, I don’t care who wins. Go Lions."

Later that day at 17:47:57 UTC, she highlighted the role of President Trump and the House GOP in addressing governmental inefficiencies. She stated, "President Trump and the @HouseGOP have a mandate to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse," emphasizing the need for government focus on domestic issues with the comment, "We want our government focused on fixing real problems right here at home."

Finally, in a tweet at 23:18:56 UTC, McClain criticized environmental activists such as John Kerry for their perceived double standards regarding climate change practices. She noted that these activists discourage plastic straw usage while using private jets themselves. Her statement read: "Woke climate activists like John Kerry don’t want you to drink out of a plastic straw, yet they fly around on private jets. Hypocrisy at its finest." She credited President Trump with restoring "basic common sense" by allowing plastic straws again.
