Later that day, she commented on the preparation for the President's Joint Address by highlighting Republican achievements. She tweeted, "Ahead of the President’s Joint Address tonight, the @HouseGOP hosted a media row to highlight @POTUS and House Republicans’ record of success. I stopped by to share with the American people our vision to get our country back on track."

In anticipation of President Biden's address later that evening, McClain expressed her expectations for common-sense policies from the administration while criticizing Democratic strategies. She wrote, "Tonight, we welcome @POTUS back to the People’s House. I am excited to hear his plans to get our country back on track with common-sense policies. The Democrats’ plans? Just more fearmongering and more advocacy for more waste, fraud, and abuse."
