Representative Lisa McClain, serving Michigan's 9th district in the U.S. Congress since 2021, has shared several statements on her social media platform addressing current political and social issues. On March 5, 2025, McClain commented on government operations and policies.

In a post made at 12:51 PM UTC, McClain expressed concerns about the potential impact of a government shutdown. She stated, "A government shutdown shuts down the people’s agenda. Only Democrats have said they want to shut down the government. We need to pass a CR, keep the government open, and deliver the mandate."

Later that day at 2:43 PM UTC, she conveyed a personal message for Ash Wednesday. McClain wrote, "I want to wish a blessed Ash Wednesday to all who celebrate. May your journey this Lenten season be filled with prayer, reflection, and love."

In another statement posted at 2:57 PM UTC, McClain criticized sanctuary city policies. She asserted that such policies "jeopardize public safety, incentive illegal immigration, and drain taxpayer-funded resources." Additionally, she emphasized that "The @HouseGOP will hold deranged Democrats accountable for their dangerous policies."
