Representative Lisa McClain, serving Michigan's 9th district in the U.S. Congress since 2021, shared her thoughts on recent legislative activities and regional celebrations through a series of tweets. McClain succeeded Paul Mitchell and has been an active voice in Congress.

On March 5, 2025, McClain announced that House Republicans had passed legislation introduced by Representative Clyde aimed at reversing a policy she described as detrimental. She stated, "Tonight, House Republicans passed @Rep_Clyde’s common-sense legislation to reverse this bad policy, empower consumers, and help drive down costs."

The following day, March 6, 2025, McClain questioned the intentions behind government shutdown discussions. She expressed concern over potential delays to President Trump's agenda and criticized Democrats for allegedly wanting to shut down the government. She urged for continued legislative work by stating, "Who would want to stall President Trump and the American people’s agenda? Only Democrats have said they want to shut down the government. Let’s pass the CR and keep working on the mandate."

Later that same day, McClain celebrated Great Lakes Day with a focus on Lake Huron's significance to her constituents in Michigan's 9th district. Her message conveyed appreciation for local natural resources: "Happy Great Lakes Day, Michigan! Especially to you, Lake Huron. You have a special place in the hearts of MI-09."
