On April 8, 2025, McClain questioned the authority of a single district judge to issue rulings impacting the entire nation. She stated, "A single district judge should not have the authority to unilaterally issue rulings that affect the entire nation."

Later that same day, she articulated her support for student-athletes, highlighting the importance of rewarding hard work and talent in the United States.
