Chairwoman Lisa McClain, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Michigan's 9th district, has recently shared updates on her activities and legislative efforts via social media. In a series of tweets, she highlighted her interactions with key figures and her initiatives aimed at boosting economic potential in the Great Lakes region.

On April 8, 2025, McClain welcomed "@SecDuffy back to the Capitol today as part of my @HouseGOP Meet the Cabinet series!" The meeting took place at the Capitol as part of the ongoing efforts to engage with the Cabinet alongside the House GOP.

In another tweet on April 9, 2025, McClain highlighted the economic significance of the Great Lakes region, stating that "The Great Lakes region generates $6 trillion in economic activity and supports over 51 million jobs." She proudly announced the reintroduction of the bipartisan Great Lakes Mapping Act with Rep. Deb Dingell, aimed at further unlocking the region's economic potential, particularly benefiting Michigan's economy.
