Chairwoman Lisa McClain, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan's 9th district, shared a series of tweets on April 11, 2025, addressing various issues including student-athletes' classification, a deportation matter, and a linked content without additional context.

On April 11, 2025, McClain stated her position on the classification of student-athletes, declaring, "Student-athletes should NOT be classified as 'employees' of their universities. This week, I introduced the Protecting Student Athletes’ Economic Freedom Act to safeguard college athletes' ability to benefit from their name, image, and likeness."

Later the same day, the congresswoman provided an update regarding a deportation decision, claiming it as a significant achievement for the public. She tweeted, " In a MAJOR win for the American people, the Trump administration is able to proceed with the deportation of terrorist sympathizer Mahmoud Khalil."

Lisa McClain is a Michigan native, born in Stockbridge in 1966, and she lives in Bruce. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Northwood University, completed in 1997. Since replacing Paul Mitchell in 2021, McClain has represented Michigan's 9th District in Congress.
