Chairwoman Lisa McClain, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan's 9th District since 2021, posted a series of tweets on religious celebrations and military appreciation in April 2025. Born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966, and a graduate of Northwood University in 1997 with a BBA, McClain is currently serving her constituents while residing in Bruce.
On April 12, 2025, McClain reached out to the Jewish community as they commenced their Passover celebrations. "As the sun sets, Passover begins for the Jewish Community. I want to wish a happy Passover to all of those celebrating across MI-09." She extended her best wishes by using the traditional greeting, "Chag Sameach."
The following day, April 13, 2025, McClain addressed another momentous occasion for Christians. In her tweet, she stated, "I hope you and your family have a blessed Palm Sunday! Today, we remember the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem."
On April 14, 2025, McClain expressed her appreciation for the U.S. Air Force Reserve, acknowledging its service and protection over the years. She tweeted, "For 77 years, the @USAFReserve has served and protected our skies. Happy Birthday, and thank you to all who serve!"
