Chairwoman Lisa McClain, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Michigan's 9th District since 2021, has recently expressed her views on various pressing issues through her social media channels. Born in Stockbridge, Michigan, McClain lives in Bruce and graduated from Northwood University in 1997 with a BBA. The following remarks capture some of her recent thoughts on political events and national policies. On April 14, 2025, McClain commented on a recent incident involving the Shapiro family, lauding the efforts of the emergency response teams. She asserted

"The crime scene photos make it even more surreal. Political violence has no place in our country, and I hope those responsible are quickly brought to justice. Thank you to the brave first responders who swiftly evacuated the Shapiro family."Later the same day, McClain raised concerns regarding immigration policies. She posted on social media, stating

"Democrats want to keep these violent illegal aliens in our communities. The @HouseGOP is working to deliver resources to SECURE the border, PREVENT more criminal aliens from entering our country, and DEPORT the violent criminals who are already here illegally."McClain also addressed the issue of antisemitism on campuses, declaring her commitment to fostering safe environments in educational institutions. On April 14, 2025, she wrote

"It’s simple: Keep antisemitism off your campus. I will continue to work with my @HouseGOP and @EdWorkforceCmte colleagues to hold institutions accountable. We must stand up for student safety."Lisa McClain is currently serving in the U.S. Congress, representing Michigan’s 9th district. She replaced previous U.S Congress member Paul Mitchell in 2021.

McClain, who was born in Michigan and currently resides in Bruce, completed her education with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University.
