Chairwoman Lisa McClain, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan's 9th district, has taken to social media to express her views on the current state of the Democratic Party and recent legislative actions. Her statements, made over the course of two days, critique party leadership and highlight her support for recent legislative proposals.

On April 15, 2025, McClain questioned the Democratic Party's search for a new leader, implying President Joe Biden might be entering the fray. She wrote, " All year, we have watched Democrats audition nationwide to be the next leader of their party. Is Biden getting in the mix now, too? Have they found their leader?"

Later the same day, McClain criticized the Democrats' legislative actions and plans. At 22:13 UTC, she commented on their voting record, stating, "Democrats STILL have no plan, no vision, and no leader — AND they vote NO on everything. They voted AGAINST Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security recipients when they voted to shut down the government. All they do is fearmonger."

In the early hours of April 16, McClain expressed her support for specific legislation related to former President Donald Trump. She stated, "I voted to keep President Trump’s ONE BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL moving forward so Michiganders can keep more of their hard-earned money."

McClain has been a representative for Michigan’s 9th District since 2021, succeeding Paul Mitchell. She was born in Stockbridge, Michigan, and currently resides in Bruce. She is an alumna of Northwood University, graduating in 1997 with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
