Lisa McClain, representative of Michigan’s 9th district in the U.S. Congress since 2021, shared several messages via social media. Her communications, posted on April 23 and 24, 2025, address topics ranging from military appreciation to antisemitism on college campuses, concluding with political commentary on recent developments attributed to former President Donald Trump.
In her first post from April 23, McClain celebrated the 117th anniversary of the U.S. Army Reserve. "Happy Birthday to the @USArmyReserve! For 117 years, America’s soldiers have been an integral force in protecting our nation, and we are forever grateful for their service. "
Later the same day, McClain expressed her opinion on a recent decision by Cornell University, which centers on a guest speaker's disinvitation due to antisemitic sentiments. "Antisemites have no place on America’s college campuses. I’m relieved to see Cornell made the right decision by disinviting this antisemite, but it should have NEVER reached this point."
Early on April 24, she reflected on the economic direction of the country and praised former President Trump for fulfilling his commitments. "We need to get America back on a level playing field. The status quo won’t get us a different result. President Trump is delivering on his promises."
Lisa McClain, born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and residing in Bruce, has represented Michigan’s 9th District since 2021 after succeeding Paul Mitchell. She graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University in 1997.
