Chairwoman Lisa McClain, serving in the U.S. Congress and representing Michigan's 9th district, recently shared her thoughts through Twitter posts on notable occasions and pressing issues. McClain has been a serving member of Congress since 2021, having replaced former member Paul Mitchell. Here are her tweets addressing a range of topics from April 24, 2025.

On April 24, 2025, McClain expressed her appreciation for being able to celebrate a significant milestone in Macomb County with President Biden. She wrote "There is no better place to celebrate Day 100 than Macomb County. Welcome, @POTUS!"

In another post from the same day, McClain conveyed a controversial view on the reputation of an individual she refers to as a “Maryland Man.” She pointed out stereotypes and contentious accusations, stating, "According to Democrats, a 'Maryland Man': Roots for the Orioles... Is involved in human trafficking."

Later that day, McClain questioned the actions of institutions of higher learning in the United States. She asked, "Terrorist sympathizers have NO PLACE in our country — why are our 'elite' universities continuing to protect them?"

Lisa McClain, born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966, is a graduate of Northwood University where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1997. She currently resides in Bruce, Michigan.
