Chairwoman Lisa McClain, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, shared a series of tweets on April 28, 2025, highlighting the country’s efforts to enhance safety and security under current leadership.
In her initial tweet on April 28, McClain stated, "Promises Made, Promises Kept. Violent, illegal aliens have no home here. President Trump and his team are making our country safe again."
Later that day, McClain provided specific figures on the improvements, tweeting, "Promises Made, Promises Kept! Daily border encounters: DOWN 93% Encounters with gotaways: DOWN 95% Migrant crossings: DOWN 99.99%."
In an evening tweet, McClain expressed satisfaction with the progress made under the current administration, mentioning, "In under 100 days, America is STRONG, SAFE, and SECURE again thanks to @POTUS’ leadership. "
Representing Michigan's 9th District since 2021, McClain, age 57, was born in Stockbridge, Michigan, and currently resides in Bruce. She is an alumna of Northwood University, where she graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
