Chairwoman Lisa McClain, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 9th District since 2021, took to social media to share her views on political and economic matters. Representing her constituents in Congress, McClain often comments on political strategies and her responsibilities in D.C.

In her first tweet, McClain praised President Trump for his efforts in concluding a war he inherited and highlighted what she considers "a historic economic opportunity and beginning of a partnership." This tweet was posted on April 30, 2025.

Later that day, McClain criticized her Democratic colleagues, particularly a member of "the Squad," for what she described as an exploitative use of personal grief for political gain. She remarked that "Democrats ALWAYS try to score cheap political points and continue to fuel misinformation." This tweet was posted on April 30, 2025.

McClain continued to express her dedication to her constituents and her goals in advocating for them. "My constituents sent me to D.C. to fight for them and to strengthen Medicaid." She voiced concerns over tactics that she perceives as distractions "from issues like sanctuary cities." This tweet was posted on May 1, 2025.

Lisa McClain, a congresswoman since 2021, was born in Stockbridge, Michigan, and is a Northwood University alumna who pursued a BBA. She remains actively engaged in representing her Michigan district constituents, focusing on Medicaid and economic policies.
