Chairwoman Lisa McClain, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, recently shared her perspectives on various legislative and social issues through a series of tweets.
On May 7, 2025, McClain expressed her support for Representative Pfluger’s bill aimed at blocking what she described as "Communist China’s propaganda from our college campuses." She announced her stance with a post stating: "Proud to support @RepPfluger’s bill to block Communist China’s propaganda from our college campuses."
The following day, May 8, McClain discussed antisemitism in higher education during an appearance on Bottom Line FBN. She tweeted about her participation in the discussion and criticized Democrats for their perceived inaction on the issue. Her tweet read: "I joined @BottomLineFBN to talk about our @edworkforcecmte hearing and how antisemitism is beyond the Ivies. As long as Democrats continue to turn a blind eye to antisemitism on our college campuses, Republicans will keep applying the pressure until someone is held accountable."
Later that same day, McClain commented on a matter concerning girls’ safety within educational environments. During a hearing by Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene's committee, she voiced her concerns regarding Democratic policies. She posted: "Democrats are willing to sacrifice girls’ safety so they can live in their distorted reality. WATCH my remarks in @RepMTG’s @DOGECommittee hearing today "
Lisa McClain was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and resides in Bruce. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Northwood University, earned in 1997.
