Chairwoman Lisa McClain, a U.S. Congress representative for Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, recently shared her views on various issues through social media. McClain, who succeeded Paul Mitchell and holds a BBA from Northwood University, often comments on political and economic matters.
On May 13, 2025, McClain expressed her support for Verizon's recent financial commitment to small businesses in the United States. She remarked: "BOOM ANOTHER INVESTMENT! I applaud @Verizon’s commitment to America’s small businesses. This investment is yet another example of @POTUS’ homegrown economic revival."
Later that day, McClain addressed the priorities of House Republicans regarding Medicaid. She stated: "House Republicans want to prioritize Medicaid for Americans – not illegal aliens."
In a subsequent post on May 14, 2025, McClain criticized Democrats' stance on immigration issues. She wrote: "It’s repulsive that Democrats are siding with violent, illegal aliens instead of Americans like Laken Riley."
