Chairwoman Lisa McClain, a U.S. Congress representative for Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, shared several updates on her official social media account on May 13, 2025.
In one of her posts, she introduced an individual named Kilmar Abrego Garcia. The tweet simply stated: "Meet Kilmar Abrego Garcia: https://t.co/94tbTnMdu6".
On the same day, McClain highlighted National Police Week with a focus on remembering officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. She noted that "During National Police Week, we remember the officers killed in the line of duty. Today, the @HouseGOP will vote on @RepEzell’s resolution that supports law enforcement and recognizes the risks officers face while protecting our communities."
Additionally, McClain addressed economic issues by expressing a desire to support adults transitioning from dependency to self-sufficiency. She tweeted: "We want to help capable and unemployed adults move from dependency to self-sufficiency."
Lisa McClain was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Northwood University, obtained in 1997.
