Chairwoman Lisa McClain, representing Michigan's 9th district in the U.S. Congress, has been vocal on social media about current political issues. Her recent tweets express strong opinions regarding the actions of the Democratic Party and support for former President Trump.

On May 14, 2025, McClain tweeted her opposition to what she perceives as an attempt by Democrats to impeach former President Donald Trump. She wrote: "The Democrats are trying to IMPEACH the most successful President of our lifetime. REPOST IF YOU STAND WITH PRESIDENT TRUMP ".

Later that day, McClain criticized the Democratic Party for lacking a coherent strategy and leadership. She stated: "They have no plan, no vision, and no leader — they’re fighting themselves instead of fighting for America. They voted to shutdown the government, increase taxes on Americans, and are now wrestling with the idea of impeaching President Trump."

In another tweet posted on May 15, 2025, McClain questioned Democratic priorities during National Small Business Week by stating: "Last week, during National Small Business Week, Democrats visited MS-13 members. Will they visit criminals instead of police officers during National Police Week?"

Lisa McClain has served in Congress since 2021 after replacing Paul Mitchell. Born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently residing in Bruce, she graduated from Northwood University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1997.
