House Republican Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain joined President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump at a ceremony where the TAKE IT DOWN Act was signed into law. The legislation, known as the Tools to Address Known Exploitation by Immobilizing Technological Deepfakes on Websites and Networks (TAKE IT DOWN) Act, aims to protect children from digital exploitation.

"In America, we will not tolerate the exploitation of our children. This law will protect our children and families from becoming targets of digital predators," stated Chairwoman McClain. She expressed pride in supporting President Trump during the signing of this legislation. McClain also emphasized her commitment to backing the administration's efforts to hold creators of harmful content accountable and ensure platforms take responsibility for safety in the digital age.

Chairwoman McClain had previously shown her support for the bill during a roundtable discussion with First Lady Melania Trump in April.
