Chairwoman Lisa McClain, a U.S. Congress member representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, recently shared her views on legislative priorities and political developments through a series of tweets.

On May 21, 2025, McClain emphasized the Republican party's commitment to prioritizing American interests. She stated, "ICYMI: 'History will remember that Republicans put Americans first and the Democrats didn’t.' The @HouseGOP’s priority has remained the same — putting Americans FIRST. The One Big, Beautiful Bill does exactly that."

Later that day, McClain criticized Democratic actions regarding budget analysis. She tweeted, "The analysis, requested by top Democrats." Democrats released ANOTHER dishonest CBO score. They know they’ve backed themselves into a corner and are on record voting for tax hikes, illegal immigrants, and unsafe communities. They are doing everything they can to distract.

In another tweet from May 21st, McClain reflected on a significant event at the Capitol involving President Biden. She wrote about the legislative initiative known as the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act," stating "Yesterday was a day to remember at the Capitol with @POTUS. ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL ACT"

Lisa McClain was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. She graduated from Northwood University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
