Chairwoman Lisa McClain, a U.S. Congress representative for Michigan’s 9th district, shared her thoughts on recent events through a series of tweets. McClain, who has been serving since 2021 after succeeding Paul Mitchell, often uses social media to communicate her legislative priorities and views.

On June 3, 2025, McClain commented on the terrorist attack in Boulder, Colorado. She stated that "Not only was the terrorist attack in Boulder, Colorado, antisemitic — it was carried out by an illegal alien." McClain emphasized the need for legislative action by promoting the One Big Beautiful Bill Act as a means to enhance community safety and secure borders permanently.

Later that day, McClain posted two tweets containing links: "https://t.co/GewqfsWKKC" and "https://t.co/y521E5QF4i". The content of these links was not specified in her tweets.

Lisa McClain is originally from Stockbridge, Michigan, and currently resides in Bruce. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Northwood University, which she obtained in 1997.
